HOW PRIVATE WIRE WORKS

How it Works in Practice

Private wire systems have a physical, dedicated cable connected directly from the renewable generation source, such as a ground-mounted or rooftop solar array, to your premises. This setup is often paired with on-site battery storage to capture excess generation during the day, which can then be deployed for night time supply or used for peak shaving to reduce demand spikes.

Because the installation is completely funded and managed by an investor-backed partner, your business receives predictable, lower cost green electricity under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with zero upfront capital expenditure or risk.

We fully fund, design, build, and operate the entire solar and battery asset, meaning no capital layout or balance sheet strain for your organisation.


  • The private wire offsets a significant portion of your daytime load, while your grid supplier provides top-up power when required.


  • You only pay for the kilowatt-hours actually delivered to your facility. Your grid connection always remains active as a backup.
